Home Visitation in Wisconsin…You gift will provide one-on-one, in-home assistance that encourages healthy parenting and strengthens families.
$1,000 (Advocate Level) – Provides two monthly visits for six months to a new parent who is at risk for abusing or neglecting their child.
$500 – Allows parents to work with a parent educator for 10 hours to learn about child development and how to create a safe nurturing home for their baby.
$250 –Provides a parent educator five hours of time and follow-up to work with a family to ensure that they have ways to connect with other parents and children. This decreases social isolation, a proven risk factor for child abuse.
$100 –Provides a health care screening for an at-risk child. Being up to date with immunizations, having a primary care provider and receiving well child exams are important means to protect children from being medically neglected. $100 also provides one pack and play to a family that does not have a safe place for their infant to sleep.
$50 – Provides one family a baby gate in their home where there are stairs.
$25 – Provides a smoke alarm for a home found without one.
$10 – Provides a book for the parent educator to bring to the family on their visit to teach the parent how to interact with her child.
$5 – Provides 50 new parents information on how to handle a crying baby.
